The CTT Law Charity Committee led by Emma Bolochowecki in our Conveyancing
Department has chosen Helping Hands Community Project in Leamington Spa as the firm’s chosen charity for 2024.

After a recent visit to the Helping Hands headquarters where some of the committee met
with Kerry Steward, Fundraising and Communications Officer for Helping Hands, we learned
the multitude of ways that Helping Hands are helping the most vulnerable in our local
community, with the soup kitchen running Monday-Thursday every day for both breakfast
and dinner services being just the tip of the iceberg.

With their “hand-up not a hand-out” approach, Helping Hands also offer showers, laundry
services, counselling, and experience days. Their most recent venture, the Esther Project,
houses women from different backgrounds who otherwise would be at risk of street
homelessness.

This wonderful charity not only provides basic human necessities such as food, warmth,
sanitary products, and toiletries but they also try to give vulnerable people and those facing
street homelessness a real sense of purpose, which is fundamental in avoiding
homelessness in the future.

We are calling on all our friends, partners and contacts in the local community to support our fundraising as they did at our first event of the year, an Easter raffle, which raised a staggering £943.75!!

These funds go directly to the charity to enable them to continue the amazing and inspiring work that they do. Thank you to everyone who supported us!

With a skydive, sports day and quiz night in the pipeline there really will be something for everyone to get involved with – watch this space!
